The Adecco Group Institute , the study and dissemination center of The Adecco Group, presents a new edition – already seventh – of its quarterly report on absenteeism , workplace accidents and occupational diseases , which aims to show an analysis of how they are these variables in our country, in each sector and economic activity and in each. Madrid’s absenteeism rate becomes the seventh lowest in Spain autonomous community, making a quarterly and interannual comparison of the data. And the main conclusion of this report is that the absenteeism rate in Spain for the third quarter of 2023 is growing again and is now 7% . This figure has increased by 0.3 percentage points compared to the second quarter of 2023 and also 0.3 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year. Regarding absenteeism due to temporary disability (TI), the national rate is 5.5% (+0.3 pp quarter-on-quarter; +0.5 pp inter-annual).
Absenteeism by autonomies: Madrid, the seventh lowest rate
Analyzing the absenteeism rate of each autonomous region in particular, according to the report, the most affected are, once again, the Basque Country, with an absenteeism rate of 9.7% (-0.1 pp year-on-year), Navarra, with 7.9%, (-0.2 pp year-on-year) and Catalonia, also with 7.9% (+0.7 pp year-on-year).At the other extreme, the lowest B2B Email List absenteeism rates are located in the Balearic Islands, with 4.3% (+0.4 pp year-on-year), Castilla-La Mancha, with 5.9% (-0.4 pp year-on-year) and Canary Islands, with 6% (+0.7 pp year-on-year).In the case of Madrid, the absenteeism rate is now the seventh lowest in the country (6.6%), after growing 0.17 percentage points in the last quarter although it decreased 2 tenths in the year-on-year comparison. Absenteeism by sectors: Services leads in Madrid
At the national level in the third quarter of 2023, the Industry sector increases its absenteeism rate to 7.8% (+0.5 pp quarter-on-quarter; +0.6 pp inter-annual), followed by the Services sector, with 7.1 % (+0.3 pp quarter-on-quarter; +0.5 pp inter-annual).
