Once the account is created, you can use the menu (gear icon) to add additional details, such as credit card details, manage team members and set an advertising account as default account (set as start page). The latter was not possible in the old version.

Different types of accounts
There are a number of types of advertising accounts. This article focuses on the self-service advertising accounts where you have to use a credit card as a payment method. This is the most common option for many companies. Another option is to purchase on account with LinkedIn, or a ‘managed account’.
A managed account has two main advantages:
You receive an invoice from LinkedIn every month instead of having to retrieve the (huge amount of) invoices* from the advertising account yourself and match the credit card bill to these invoices;
The ad does not have to wait for approval from LinkedIn and starts immediately. With a self-service account it can sometimes take up to 24 hours before the ad is approved.
