Facebook Ads
If so, what is your experience with them?
“We use Facebook Ads to draw attention to our books and vacancies. Likers are less likely to share them than they are to an article, so those posts need a push. And that works well! We now have three top developers here who discovered our vacancy via a Facebook Ad. And the Ads for our books also generate concrete sales.”
‘Likers become members’
Recently you organized a ‘likers become members’ campaign. Can you tell us something about it?
“We suspected that not all of our likers understood the benefits of becoming a member. Both for themselves and f what types of developers you should look for or journalism. So we thought: let’s just tell them. Last year in July, we organised our first Likers Become a Member Day (long live alliteration!). Our media strategist Mayke Blok had come up with the idea of creating an event a week in advance. ‘Attending’ meant that you wanted to hear more about a membership to De Correspondent and then we would convince you on that day.
In the end, it turned out differently.
We noticed that especially very loyal fans (often already members) attended and then spread the messages we shared india number list in the event to their friends. So instead of a gathering place for potential members, the event was more of a central place for ambassadors. What kind of posts do we put there?
